Chief of Geriatrics at Sarasota Memorial Hospital Speaks at The Glenridge About ‘How to Save Your Brain’

Dr. Bruce Robinson Presents as Part of Educational Series

Dr. Bruce Robinson, chief of geriatrics at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, recently spoke at The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch as part of The Art of Flourishing: An Educational Series.

Robinson addressed the prevention of cognitive decline in his presentation titled “Cognitive Aging: How to Save Your Brain.” Approximately 260 people attended the event, which was held at the Glenridge Performing Arts Center.

Robinson received his M.D. degree in internal medicine and master’s in public health at the University of South Florida, where he spent 15 years as a professor and chief of geriatrics. In addition to his work with Sarasota Memorial Hospital, the Harvard-trained physician is medical director of the Pines nursing home and geriatrics clerkship director for the Florida State University College of Medicine. He’s also an associate editor of the Journal of the America Geriatrics Society and has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
